« Décors en corps – des corps encore » met en scène le patrimoine architectural et naturel de Saint-Raphaël
Cédric Tanguy évoque une partie de l’histoire de la ville, notamment le débarquement de 1944 et traite des thèmes du paysage, du portrait et de la représentation humaine pour lesquels il a fait poser le public du territoire.
Des tableaux photographiques de ruines n’existant ni dans la réalité, ni dans aucun musée ont été imaginés par l’artiste. À l’aide d’outils informatiques, il a inventé les vestiges de certains édifices religieux encore en place, offrant les visions d’une apocalypse sublimée à la mode romantique, inspirée du style de Caspar David Friedrich, ou encore d’Hubert Robert.
« Les oeuvres se déclinent sur plusieurs axes autour de la représentation du corps et du décor » explique l’artiste, « corps en chantier, en construction (adolescence). Corps en ruine, en décrépitude (vieillesse) ». L’homme pose un regard poétique et allégorique sur nos jeunes et sur nos aînés, la mémoire, les effets du dérèglement climatique et la fin d'un monde. « Cette exposition foisonne de jeunesse locale, j’ai l'espoir qu'elle prenne plaisir à venir voir et revoir une expo d'art contemporain et qu'à l'avenir, elle manifeste la curiosité d'en découvrir d'autres ».
