Ride the Esterel on an all-terrain electric scooter !

Last week, the team had the chance to test an original activity: the electric off-road scooter! We recommend it without hesitation, and we explain why on this page ;)

We often see electric scooters moving around town and we wanted to test the off-road version to get our idea. Direction Agay, to meet Gil who presented us his activity that he has been carrying out for several years now.

1st step: briefing in Agay

Theory....

Gil, our instructor of the day, gives us each a scooter and the equipment that goes with it (helmet, gloves and backpack containing the battery). Then, he explains the operation of the device and the safety rules (protection, apprehension of wet or slippery surfaces, taking into account the instructions when driving, do not accelerate too fast...). For the first time, he really gives us confidence, encouragement and advice.

... to practice !

We get on the scooters, Gil makes us do small turns of tests to allow us to take in hand the machine (braking, emergency stop, acceleration...) and then surprise! Scooters are relatively stable! It's easy to stand on and manoeuvre them! You stand up straight and lean the handlebars in the direction you want to turn. Once we are familiar with the handling of the device, we are ready for the ride!

Let's go to Les Ferrières, behind Cap Esterel!

After having taken our "cars" in hand, Gil offers us different types of routes to get more and more familiar and simply have fun! We follow our instructor with the leu-leu queue and say hello to the passers-by who are watching us in astonishment! Not everyone knows the off-road scooter, electric as well, and we surprise many people by the way:)

All-terrain scooters that run on all types of soil such as sand, rocks, grass!

Driving on trails, gravel, on slopes is really nice! Even if the sky is grey that day, the rain of the day before allows us to roll in the puddles and splash around. We slow down in the most delicate passages and Gil, our instructor, explains how to apprehend each bump or rock on the way.

Off-road you said.... ?

After "our warm-up" on the trails, Gil makes it a little more difficult for us to take us into the forest where there are more difficult passages. On the course, you will find stones, roots and holes!

Not even afraid, we take up the challenge with pleasure :)

After 2 hours of going out, we don't want to go back!

As we control our scooters, Gil allows us to go beyond the 12km/hour we've been landing until now. For the most comfortable, we climb up to 30km/h by taking the paths that allow it and of course paying attention to passers-by! At the end of the forest, you can admire the panoramic view of Cap Dramont and the Semaphore. It must be said that the setting is wonderful !

Electric Scooter Monitor

The electric scooter allows you to go into natural areas without effort with a permanent electric assistant. It is a very easy activity, accessible to the whole family (from 14 years old). The particularity is that there is an ease of adaptation by everyone, maximum 5 minutes to be comfortable on the "machine". You will be amazed by yourself and by this activity. I would be happy to show you how it works!
