Agricultural ecomuseum - conservatory tool in Fayence

The gradual disappearance of traditional agriculture from the 1950s onwards has increased over the years and the canton of Fayence has lost its agricultural vocation.

The charity "Environnement et Mémoire Locale" wanted to save the traces of this agricultural heritage from destruction. An important work of collection and restoration of these objects has been carried out and allows you today to meet these witnesses of the past.

Displayed in a group of remarkable buildings (13th century flour mill, 17th century oil mill) and grouped by trade: viticulture, cabinet making, perfumery, bouchonnerie, shoemaking, glass-blowing, olive cultivation..., you can discover or rediscover tools and agricultural machinery but also everyday objects.
