Thank you for your cooperation.

A 100 km mountain-bike excursion from Mont Lachens to the sea.

LOCATION: From the top of Mont LACHENS, the highest summit in Var (1,715 metres), to the beach of La Garonnette San Peïre in Les Issambres. A 94-km mountain-bike trip with just 11 km on the tarmac and the remaining 83 km on paths, trails and forest tracks.
AIM: To take mountain-bikers exploring our department in all its geological and botanical diversity, on a day-long discovery from North to South. The itinerary gives an overview of Var, from the Alpine foothills to the Esterel and Maures mountains, the Argens plane and, finally, the sea.
The proceeds from this day excursion will be used to fund a number of solidarity campaigns both in France and abroad, particularly for water-management and schooling projects in Madagascar.

TYPE OF EVENT: Supervised mountain-bike excursion in safe conditions and at the chosen pace of each individual, on a fully waymarked itinerary. Participants will follow some stony paths, not all of which are stabilised, as well as some beautiful tracks and long-distance trails. This excursion is for experienced, self-sufficient mountain-bikers.
Participants must wear helmets, respect the environment and observe the Highway Code.

DISTANCE: A 100 km excursion from the top of Mont Lachens to the sea (open to all from youth category upwards).
THE ASCS ASSOCIATION was created in 2004. Its aim is to support solidarity actions by proposing and inventing various activities, sports and cultural events.

- 6 refreshment points set up along the way and fish soup served at the finish line.
- 4 assistance points, 3 doctors, 8 first-aiders and 12 checkpoints with radio coverage.
- 6 off-road assistance and itinerary guidance vehicles.
- 4 motorbikes leading and tailing the way.
- 2 motorbikes removing waymarkers
- radio coverage of the event
- 2 minibuses and trailers to assist cyclists and transport those who abandon.

This is a non-competitive event. Participants must observe the highway code, as the itinerary crosses 8 roads.

Itinerary divided into sectors. Each town, village or association involved will place and remove waymarkers on a stretch of about 20 km as well as supervising participants and providing refreshments and first aid.
A total of 150 volunteers.

To strengthen, through this event, the links that unite our associations and the towns and villages of La Bastide, La Roque Esclapon, Mons, Seillans and Roquebrune sur Argens.
To create a humanitarian event that is also a sporting challenge, with proceeds going towards the funding of solidarity actions in France and abroad.
To provide a fabulous excursion with spectacular scenery that’s set to become one of the major events of our department and the entire region.
