Hike of 100 km from the top of the Mount Lachens to the sea
LOCATION : From the top of Mount LACHENS, the highest peak of the Var (1.715 meters) to the Garonnette beach at San Peïre, in Les Issambres. A mountain bike hicke of 94 km including 11 km of asphalt and 83 km of trails, paths and forest tracks.
GOALS: In one day, helping hickers to discover by mountain bike, the crossing of our departement, from North to South, throughout its geological and botanical diversity.
The itinerary provides an overview of the pre-alpin massif as well as the Esterel massif, the Argens’ Plain, the Maures massif, then the sea.
Profits made during this day will be used to fund several solidarity actions in France and abroad, especially in Madagascar in both hydraulic and educational fields.
TYPE OF EVENT: A supervised and secured mountain bike hike, a freestyle race, along an entirely signposted route. Participants will take stony paths, sometimes not stabilized, but also wonderful trails and GR trails.
This hike is for experienced mountain bikers, in complete autonomy.
It is mandatory to wear a helmet, to respect the driving code and the environment.
DISTANCE : Hike of 100 km from the top of the Mount Lachens to the sea (open to all, starting from the « Cadet » category).
The ASCS ASSOCIATION, created in 2004, is an association with the goal of proposing and creating activities, cultural and sporting events with solidarity purpose.
-6 food supplies provided and a fish soup at the arrival.
-4 aid stations, 3 doctors, 8 paramedics and 12 radio checkpoints.
-6 4x4 vehicles for assistance and marking.
-4 motorcycles to open and close the event.
-2 motorcycles to remove the marking.

This event is not a competition. Participants must respect the driving code (8 road crossings are on the course).
VOLUNTEER STAFF FOR THE EVENT’S ORGANISATION:
This hike is divided into several zones. Each Municipality or Association will provide the marking, the unmarking, the supervision of participants, supplies and rescues over about 20 km. That means 150 volounteers in total.
Strengthening links between our different Municipalities or Associations (La Bastide, La Roque Esclapon, Mons, Seillans and Roquebrune sur Argens) thanks to the organisation of this event.
Creating an event both sporting and humanitarian whose profits will be used to fund some solidarity actions in France and abroad.
Ensuring that this hike is appreciated for its great, wonderful trail and that this event may become one of the most important of our region and department.
