The aim of our association (governed by the French 1901 non-profit association law) is to develop sea fishing with respect for nature.
Fish caught is kept or returned to the sea following responsible principles.
We take into account net size (legal regulation), but we also take into account how rare the species is and the impact on their development. For example, leerfish and greater amberjack are not regulated for size but they can easily reach 25 kg, so if they are caught weighing only 5-6 kg, we always return them to the sea.
Sea fishing is a very expensive sport. The cost of rods, reels, bait, and particularly boat maintenance, are very high for our association. Our prices for fishing trips are calculated taking into account boat costs, equipment used and membership fees (club and FFPM) - not for profit.
