Le quartet livre une musique aboutie, à la fois ancrée dans la tradition et poussée par le besoin de nouveauté et de fraicheur.
Ils puisent leur inspiration des années soixante à aujourd’hui. Leur répertoire allie des créations personnelles et des compositions peu connues d’Herbie Hancock , de Bobby Hutcherson, de Gary Burton ainsi que celles de Tom Harrell, McCoy Tiner, John Coltrane et Robert Glasper.
C’est l’occasion de voir Laurent Sarrien jouer d’un instrument singulier et peu fréquent qui existe depuis les années 1920 : le vibraphone !
Frédéric D’Oelnitz au piano, Fabrice Bistoni à la contrebasse, et Yoann Serra à la batterie complètent ce quartet de leurs talents et de leurs expériences.
Cerise sur le gâteau, le trompettiste Stéphane Belmondo nous fait le plaisir de jouer avec eux pour former un quintet d’exception !
