Musée Archeologique Municipal - FREJUS

Description : Bust of the bicephalous Hermes, symbol of Frejus. The year 2003 saw the refurbishment of the Frejus Archaeological Museum and its adjoining exhibition rooms, known as the ??Salles du Vieux Fréjus?. The new museography anticipates the future VAR Departemental Archaeological Museum. The new layout is organised around several themes such as pottery production, habitat... Major pieces include : a reproduction of Jupiter?s head, the so-called ??panther?? mosaic and, above all, the bust of the bicephalous Hermes that has become the symbol of Frejus.
